What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the holy, inspired, inerrant Word of God (II Timothy 3:16-17; Heb 4:12) and that it is an inexhaustible source of faith, hope, strength, encouragement, creativity, and guidelines for success in every area of life (2 Tim 3:16; 1 Pe 2:9).
We believe in one eternal God, manifest in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19).
We believe in the deity and Lordship of Jesus Christ: born of a virgin, crucified, buried, risen from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and coming again in glory. (Matthew 1, 27-28)
We believe that all men are separated from God by a sinful nature (Ro 3:10-12, 23), that the atoning death of Jesus Christ is the only means by which man can be reconciled to a holy and loving God (John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12), and that repentance -- a change from ungodly thinking and behavior to righteous thinking and behavior -- is a necessary step to salvation.
We believe in baptism in water by immersion as an initial important step of obedience to the Lord (Matthew 28:19; II Peter 3:21).
We believe that by receiving Jesus Christ in our lives by faith that we not only receive salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9; Colossians 1:14; Revelation 1:5), but that healing (Matthew 8:16-17; I Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15), freedom from spiritual strongholds (Mark 3:14-15; Colossians 1:13; 2:14-15), and everything that is needed to live a joyful and overcoming life (2 Peter1:3; 2 Tim 3:17) are available to believers.
We believe that God has commissioned the church to teach others about God’s plan of redemption and about all of His principles-both ‘practical’ and ‘spiritual’ (Mathew 28:19; Ephesians 4:12).
We believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a blessing that is available to all believers to empower them for His service (Acts 1:8, Acts 8:14-17, 19:1-6).
We also believe that all of the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament (Ephesians 4, Romans 12, and 1 Corinthians 12) are available to equip Christians for service and ministry.
We believe in the Second Coming of Christ (Matthew 25:13), the judgment of believers into eternal life with Jesus, and unbelievers into eternal separation from God (Revelation 22:12; 20:12-15).
